What’s your addiction?

Now who said that substances like drugs and alcohol are the only addicting stuff that can pose danger to people? Fact is, even this very powerful tool called the internet can also be a form of bad addiction. Internet addiction can attack all age groups but is quite more common to the younger people. Social networking is one of the trends when it comes to internet usage. From Myspace, Friendster to Facebook, you can see a lot spending hours and hours using the net and already making yourself unproductive. You would know that you are already internet addict when you can’t pass a day without glancing the net. You’d rather stay in front of your computer than mingle with friends and family and do some sports or chores maybe.

The worse form of addiction is drug abuse. We’ve heard of some people who died because of the reaction of drugs into their system. Too much had been taken in that vital organs are already failing. It is easy for us to criticize people who abuse drugs but it is just too hard for us to understand and help them. Instead of making them feel ostracized, it would be better to encourage them to go to one of the Florida rehabs and seek professional help. At times, the choice of a rehabilitation center can be of great factor to a person’s recovery. If you get a little lax choosing a place, tendency is that you might fall for the wrong center.

I totally agree with you, this net is addictive :( You can stay all day in front of monitor making an illusion that it will bring something useful. They call it social networks but they are antisocial because of connections. Instead going outside and enjoy life you have just to click and you will see and talk with another people like you, desperate and afraid of relations with outside world.
