University of Central Arkansas Board of Trustees members approved the naming of a new residence hall at a special called meeting Wednesday, and approved the continuation of an $800,000 contract with an advertising agency. The hall, donned Bear Hall after the vote, will replace the 51-year-old Minton Hall, which has been closed for the past three years due to disrepair. The 120,000-square-foot residence hall will also contain 12 20-person skyboxes on the facility’s fifth floor.Rush Harding III, board member, raised the point of private versus public funding in the hall’s construction.
