Ysleta ISD extends superintendent’s contract, approves salary increase

Ysleta Independent School District superintendent Michael Zolkoski received a contract extension from school board members late Monday night.
Board members met in closed session, discussing Zolkoski’s evaluation and contract situation.
The board voted to increase his salary to $245,430. He was making $243,000.
Zolkoski’s contract extension means he will be overseeing Ysleta Independent School District as superintendent through July 2014.
Also Monday night, the Ysleta Independent School District board approved about a 1 percent salary increase for all district employees.
