Nancee Sorenson has been named acting president of Pima Community College’s East Campus, the school announced Wednesday.
Sorenson is the vice president for student development at the east campus.
Sorenson is taking the position temporarily vacated by East Campus President Charlotte Fugett, who is serving as PCC’s acting provost. Fugett will return to the east campus as president when a new provost is hired.
Sorenson has worked at PCC since 1992, when she was hired as admissions director. From 1996-2002, she served as director of enrollment services and registrar.
In 2002, Sorenson was named dean of the west campus. She has served as vice president of the east campus since 2009.
